We are proud to bring you the Inaugural issue of itravelindonesia. The young team felt that it was time to go beyond just booking your discounted hotels and Indonesian domestic flights. So here we are.

In this Animal issue, we take a close look at my favourite destination in Indonesia, the Seminyak district in Bali. For our funky jilbabbers, Islamic fashion makes waves in London’s fashion week.

For the hordes of Indonesians flying to Singapore to shop and visit the doctors, we say there is more to Singapore than just Takashimaya and Mount Elizabeth.

Indonesians are the happiest people in the world. We look at a recent Norwegian survey that tells us that Indonesians smile more than anyone else on the Planet.

The Aryaduta Hotel Medan Sumatra

The Aryaduta Medan offers the plushest and most luxurious rooms you will find in the city. Sitting atop the Grand Palladium Mall, this is a new steel and glass addition to the Medan skyline.

The Aryaduta Medan offers 200 rooms, all with plush interiors and spectacular city views. The rooms come with all modcons and even have plasma TVs and free Internet access. We especially liked the pool terrace rooms, which had a private outside area and direct pool access.



The pool was adequate and the gym, though small, would satisfy the visiting businessman. The hotel served a good breakfast and offers dining at The Kitchen. The food was good although not outstanding. In any case, the Mall below have the usual fast food outlets, should you tire of eating at the Hotel.



Service is excellent. We understand that the management is well aware of the opening of the JW Marriot shortly. There’s nothing like healthy competition to benefit the consumer.

All said and done, this local luxury Hotel is well worth the splurge.
